Challenge your expectations of what a log home looks like. Modern, sophisticated and utterly unique.
Can a log home be modern, airy and sophisticated—and still give you all the warmth and comfort you expect?
The answer is yes and this gallery is proof positive.
Perched high above a classic Muskoka lake, The Mountain Top earns its name with commanding views that make you feel like you’re living among the treetops.
At 3,708 square feet, this stunning log-and-timber home is a blend of modern design and rustic comfort, with an open-concept layout that makes the most of its spectacular surroundings.
But here’s what really sets The Mountain Top apart: its white-washed logs.
This is the only home in our collection with this finish, giving the interior a light and airy feel that’s almost beachy—without losing an ounce of warmth.
Paired with wide-plank floors and taupe-tan beams, the effect is soothing, sophisticated, and utterly unique.
Add in the black-framed windows, dark espresso-stained exterior logs, and black hardware, and you’ve got a striking contrast that makes this home a true standout.
If we weren’t already calling it The Mountain Top, we might’ve gone with The Black & White House.
As you browse through the gallery, also note the use of drywall on the interior walls and washed tongue-in-groove for the great room ceiling.
The amount of wood and tones is one of the many options you have to make any plan your own.
Step Inside
Gone are the days of cramped entries. This spacious entryway leads you into a great room designed for gathering. A massive sectional offers loads of seating in front of the soaring stone fireplace, with lake views that steal the show. Sliding glass doors open onto a sprawling deck, complete with stairs leading down to the water—because in Muskoka, the lake is always part of the experience.
A Kitchen With a View
This open-concept kitchen isn’t just for cooking—it’s for living.
Positioned to keep you in the action, it offers a perfect spot for family and friends to gather, with plenty of counter space for extra hands to pitch in.
And let’s not forget the dining room, where you can take in the view over dinner before heading to the sunroom for a sunset nightcap.
