Rustic chic dream home checks all the boxes
It took Andy Kinsman, our VP of Operations a while to find the perfect property.
This time around he and his family wanted to create the perfect waterfront home. Not an easy task in the heart of one of cottage country’s favourite villages. But at long last the ideal wooded lot looking out onto the lake was found.
The design could begin in earnest!

And so, Grizzly Mountain’s spectacular, turreted dining room with its panoramic views, the 22-foot-wide great room, spacious master bedroom and yes… even the soaker tub in the ensuite bath were designed for prime-time views.
In the warm summer months, massive glass doors give new meaning to indoor-outdoor living as comfy seating areas extend to a massive, low-slung deck.
You’ll be forgiven however if the view isn’t the first jaw-dropper as you’re greeted in the foyer. The tree-trunk pillar or maybe the dramatic arcing staircase to the second storey balcony or the soaring stone fireplace will vie for attention shortly before your gaze lands on the floor-to-second-floor black-frame windows and the giant pines just beyond.
The kitchen blends harmoniously with the eating areas and great room. Two large islands provide plenty of storage space, replacing upper cabinets and providing more space for windows on both walls of the prep area. A glass door leads to a sunroom getaway — perfect for a relaxing moment, to read a good book or to binge Netflix.
